The Imperial House
The Corrinos have been the Imperial house since the formation of the Empire. Currently they rule the Empire from Kaitan. House Corrino's rule is defined as absolute while one of its members sits on the Golden Lion Throne. Moreover, House Corrino maintains a large vote in the Landsraad Council, larger than any other Great House.
House Corrino maintains arguably the most powerful army in the known universe - the Sardaukar. Through their superior abilities the Corrinos are capable of crushing any military opposition. Many believe that the only way the Corrino Sardaukar could be defeated would be through the combined forces of all the Great Houses of the Landsraad.
The current head of the house is Padisha Emperor Jahan Corrino IX.
