Glacial Dwarf

As I sit across from the captain of the ice ship, I think to myself it is amazing that two variants of dwarves separated by so many miles have such an affinity for ships even though it is well known that dwarves can't swim. Despite this fact, one created magnificent vessels to sail the sands of the Ethereal Wastes and these ingenous dwarves who use solid water as their surface for ships. Yes, quite amazing, I must say.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Due to the many years living in the polar regions of Dungar they have built a resistance to the low temperatures of the region. They have also learned how to move properly across the ice.

Ecology and Habitats

One very unique factor about the southern regions is the lack of land. What land of the south does exist, it sits under hundreds of feet of ice, and because of this, mining is nonexistent in the south. This did not hamper the glacial dwarves. Instead, they learned to use ice as a substitute for metals.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Like their dwarven brethren, they like to find a spot to call home and create magnificent castles and fortresses made of ice. They are the only Iceborn races that are non-nomadic in nature.

Facial characteristics

Both females and males of these cold dwelling dwarves grow beards. Many believe this is due to the cold tempratires of the south.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The glacial dwarves trade a great deal with all the Iceborn races. Over many years the dwarves have created their frozen fortresses of the south. These fortresses now stand as the only permanent locations found on the ice sheets.
