Arzu was the goddess of beauty, passion, and sensual fulfillment. Passionate and willful, Arzu had was independent and hedonistic, and encouraged her followers to spread pleasure to all.
Description
Arzu was often depicted as a beautiful, voluptuous woman, frequently wearing few if any clothes. She was shown taking especially strong care in her appearance through grooming and being beautiful. Sometimes she was presented as dancing, singing, or otherwise expressing herself freely.
Arzu was an innate flirt and particularly loved things of great physical or emotional beauty. She was, however, flawed with vanity and a flighty nature.
Religion
The followers of Arzu were often wildly different and individualistic. They seldom shared specific beliefs beyond the sharing of pleasure, joy, and free love together. Some devout worshippers and clerics took this far enough to set up gaming/gambling houses, brothels, festival halls, or other sources of pleasure. Worshippers of Arzu outside of the
Circle of Passion faith, who included musicians, courtesans, some brewers, and tavern owners, were quite rare due to the extremely chaotic nature of her portfolio.
Arzu did have a holy day, falling on the 6th of Thawing known as Carnality, although it was not widely observed by common folks. Followers would sometimes host celebrations of free love but this was viewed as deeply a deeply personal and private affair. That being said, many of her followers did not celebrate their passions on a dedicated day, instead celebrating multiple collective celebrations organised on the whims of the worshippers.
