Al-Dhorma

Al-Dhorma is one of the oldest cities in Dunyalem, second only to Zafka, founded by the genasi of northern Djakalia who built elaborate settlements years ahead of others in Dunyalem. Much like Zafka to the south, the initial city of Al-Dhorma spread across the region, establishing a larger nation. Al-Dhorma was at the forefront of the boon in the creation of immensely powerful artifacts during the Age of Artifice, with many of the most well-known weapons and artifacts being created there. For much of its early history, Al-Dhorma was under threat of attack from the Yakarti Caravan, though to a lesser degree than Zafka. After allying with Lungoya, Al-Dhorman artificers used the Lungoyan mithril to create powerful artifacts and weapons that were paramount in the Horde's eventual defeat. After uniting as part of the Djakali Kingdom, and during the years of peace that followed, Al-Dhorma continued to create, innovate, and invent, establishing various institutions to further the craft of artifice and attempt a return to the glory days. These institutions have been responsible for Al-Dhorma's most famous discoveries, including the creation of adamantine, the warforged, and, most recently, blackpowder. Al-Dhorma's leadership is chosen by the heads of the institutions from among their number, and they are responsible for overseeing all the institutions, as well as acting as counsel to the Kingdom's monarch.
