The Tide Kraken

The Tide Kraken is the God Beast of the sea. It is depicted as a gargantuan kraken, a single tip of a tentacle dwarfing even the largest of ships. The Tide Kraken's movements are said to control the flow of the oceans, and when angered it can cause whirlpools and floods of a catastrophic size. Apart from the Phoenix Twins, the Tide Kraken is the God Beast whose traiditions are most observed in modern times. Almost all sailors will say a prayer in hope of favourable conditions at sea before departing on a voyage. Some will go so far as bringing a tithe of gold, often thrown overboard once the ship leaves port. This has led to a practice of scouring the sea floor for such tithes, which is considered terrible luck by believers.
