Vadrian el-Azrad

Pasha Vadrian el-Azrad (a.k.a. the Sellsword Prince)

The father of Skorg, Vadrian el-Azrad was a pasha of Calimshan, a clever poet and deft swordsman. Faced with the untenable dilemma of suffering a great dishonor or exile from his homeland, he chose the latter, becoming an adventurer known in song as "the Sellsword Prince".
His journeys led him to the Spine of the World and into the confidence of King Obould Many-Arrows, eventually marrying the king's only daughter, Skorja, with whom he became taken for her savage sense of honor and cunning mind. Vadrian was an attentive father to Skorg, teaching him the principles of enlightened warfare, poetry and history.
