Vera Gemblossom

Vera Gemblossom was the head of the medical education department at the National University of Cormyr. She was a colleague and good friend of Valentina Windrivver.
When Valentina’s daughter Bourdekin expressed her desire to become a doctor, she introduced her to Vera. Under the high elf’s tutelage, the young girl grew into a highly competent medic. Bourdekin came to rely on and eventually love Vera.
The two worked together side by side for several years, and the young doctor poured her heart and soul into making her mentor proud. Then, one fateful winter Vera succumbed to illness, leaving Bourdekin devastated.
It was Bourdekin’s attempt at resurrecting Vera which led to her meeting with The Raven Queen.
