Mors Mollis
CW : sickness, death, chronic pain, mentions of blood
A terrifying disease that has recently spread in the more populated areas of the Republic of Menestia. It causes a slow and painful decline of one's health and, in most cases, leads to death. Its first occurence is unknown. However, it is believed to have been a minor virus that spread rapidly once it reached areas with high population density.
The disease began as an anecdotal sickness, mostly affecting older and more vulnerable people in the Micanos Valley. That is until it reached Vestreykil. In the last month, it decimated dozens of citizens in the slums, jumping from one individual to another before the spread could be stopped. If political and spiritual authorities first called for calm, reassuring the denizens that the situation was under control, their claim was soon refuted by the death of Menestia's Grand Counsul of the Realm, Victricia Minervalis, at the hands of this deadly sickness. Though the political tried to contain those rumors, claiming that her death was instead related to an infected injury, the truth soon made its way through the streets of Vestreykil, and no one in Menestia feels safe anymore.
