The youngest of Erick Oleander and Limlora, he was known among the gods as a talented artist and gifted druid. He fell madly in love with the daughter of Naga'lys and Asitala, Cassandra. They were married in the realm of the gods after only knowing each other for less than a year; many of the god's prophets described them as fated lovers. They had many children over the years, and never lost any of the love they held for each other. On the day that their youngest son,Balocrypha, was born the god's knew that there was something wrong with the child. Anatole and Cassandra rejected the concept that their child was somehow fated for something, choosing to raise him as they had all the rest of their children,
When Balo came of age he left the realm of the god's and began his life on Lazwish, the first sign of trouble was when he began helping the vampires found the young country of Crypha. While Cassandra choose to believe that this was not inherently a bad sign, Anatole was not so optimistic.
As time went on, Anatole's fears were proven true and their son began to walk down a dark path. Followers of Delvorea captured Balo and he was sent to The Warden to oversee his recovery. Hundreds of years went by and no progress was made, after Balo escaped Delvorea's care all hope was lost for the pair. The loss of their son caused a rift to form between Anatole and Cassandra.
Anatole resigned himself to the sea of sorrows, where he still writes music about the loss he and his wife suffered.
