The Seeding
During The Ruination, the pantheon of gods all realized they had to act if they wished to preserve the sapient species in the conflict. Towards that end, they ferried a minimal population of those they could save in time to a wild world, which would someday come to be called Dynos. Here, the gods deposited the races upon the most habitable lands for each, in tribes of their own peoples. The pantheon then departed, never to take physical form in The Grand Corporeum again.
One aspect of this transportation was the near total erasure of the mortals' memories, which the pantheon neglected to warn them of. All that the survivors knew of the Ruination was that their ancestors belonged a world which was consumed by war, and resulted in the gods staying out of mortal affairs. In time, many of the races would come to refer to themselves with new names, very different from their kin who were lost in that apocalypse. Some would even develop entirely new traits, further defining them as a new species. There were also burgeoning races already on Dynos with which the newcomers would have to compete, though they themselves were still in the early tribal stages of civilization...
