Vacrussan Tamer

Since its settling, the Vacrussans have tried to live in harmony with nature, and many form strong bonds with the creatures there. Tamers serve as both guardians and sport celebrities, protecting their towns and competing in annual tournaments to determine the best. The year kicks off with the regional tournaments, with both singles and three-person teams, starting with a qualifier round on the first day of the Yorsind Festival. Then in the autumn, the top two of each region compete in the Vacrussan Tamers Grand Tournament, each round held in a different region's biggest city with the finale in the capital.

Tamers use specially forged enchanted lanterns, which contain a pocket dimension to house a limited number of creatures and serve as beacons to draw wild ones out.
