Cult of Aeralei
The Cult of Aeralei is a small cult located around the Treasure Waters. No one is quite sure exactly how many of them there are, as they are not centralised and the members are part of it for a wide variety of reasons. One of the only things they share is a belief in the fairy tale of Aeralei as well as a wish to please her. Some members do so in the belief that they will be more likely to find treasure in the lakes while others wish to court her or any other myriad of reasons to help her.
Members are free to join and remove themselves from the cult, but deference is shown to members who have been part of it for a long time. These members will often lead services to Aeralei as well as efforts to appease her. Some of the more insane veterans of the cult will often go as far as intelligent sacrifices although such veterans are rare.
