Treasure waters

The Treasure Waters is a group of lakes located in the northwestern part of E'ath. While these pools appear to be nothing special at first glance many explorers have made reports of untold riches found at seemingly random without any creature guarding them, and many have become rich taking even small parts of this treasure home. However, those who come back for more treasure always find the place empty and are unable to find more treasure.   Compared to the relatively few people that find treasure here the amount of explorers that disappear at seemingly random, sometimes just a few steps away from their friends, has caused many to believe the area to be cursed and the treasure found here to spread the curse although mages and druids alike have found no magic on the treasure.

Fauna & Flora

Few fish call these lakes their home and those that do appear oddly still unaware of anything around them.

Natural Resources

Anything can appear in the waters although no one knows how to reliably find certain resources.

History

The first adventurer who found treasure in this area is said to have done so in an attempt to drown himself after his wife died. According to him, as he was running out of air he saw her once again asking him to stay alive and live for the both of them. Many accounts write this off as simply delusions on the verge of death, but the fact that he woke up on the side of the lake with a small fortune worth of treasure is undeniable.   It is not known exactly when this happened but many believe his wife died to the great evil so that this would have happened in the last few decades of the first age. Since then the area has not changed much. People die at about the same rate as new people find a home here and the rain is as constant as it was during the first age even today.
