Welcome to my head, where all the ideas for Elaqitan's project originate or take root or something like that. Elaqitan is the world of the four elements - no, it is not a copy of the One, even though fire, earth, water and air play an essential role and each element has its own continent. Let's say I've always been fascinated by the elements and Elaqitan is the setting of the main plot for a novel.

You can find my inspiration for the individual continents in the “mini-metas” of the further articles.

Drama

  1. In the real world (Germany 1948), a pair of 12-year-old twins receive a "storybook" as a Christmas present. Its "caretaker" - a bookworm - comes to life when the book is opened and tells the siblings and their cousin about the mission to save Elaqitan. But before the children and the "caretaker" can travel to Elaqitan, they have to solve a few puzzles.
  2. When crossing the portal from the real world to Elaqitan, the travelers become separated from each other and each "land" on a different continent. Everyone must find a chosen one to accompany them on their journey to the Elaqitan Council and help them fulfill their mission.
  3. Four Homo Elaqitanii are trying to gain power in Elaqitan in order to subjugate the other peoples and preserve their magic. After the Elaqitan Council is assassinated, war between humans and the Elaqitans is inevitable. Can the travelers and chosen Elaqitanians stop the Homo Elaqitanii?

Natural laws

  1. Magic only exists on the continents of Air, Fire, Water and Earth.
  2. Magic on the Human Continent can only be practiced by Homo Elaqitanii.
  3. Each element has a different approach to the magic that the respective people "draws" from animals, plants and/or their environment.

Genre

The real world of 1948 meets portal fantasy in Elaqitan.

Tone & Mood

The world contains light and dark elements (small play on words), depending on which continent you are on and which adventure needs to be completed.
