The current duke of Yanovich in Albion. Unlike his father, Cedric, Nicolas took role as the Duke seriously. Born the year following the Inquisitions Folly, Nicholas' Mother took full advantage of the fact that Magic was being decriminalized, reaching out to mages interested in discovering if Nicholas had any. Unfortunately Nicholas didn't inherit his fathers Celestial sorcery but was still found to have a great aptitude for the arcane arts. Nicholas was among the first mages to undergo training from the Emerald order as it is today. Though his focus in Divination magic, while a noble proustite in its own right, painted him as a typical noble mage more interested in perceiving the feature than helping defeat the Inquisition. However he proved useful as a tactician when his role as ducal heir had him cross paths with Princess Mavis Romanoff. When two became embroiled in a plot at the royal academy that involved a Inquisition agents, and band evil of cultists, and members of a secret band of world saving mages called the Arcana Ministerium. It was the young Nicholas that saved the day, impressing a visiting mage from Con by name of Scorch Enkindle, and the princess.
To almost no ones shock, or at least that of those who knew of these event, Nicholas and Mavis were engaged and married by the time she left the academy. With their eldest daughter, Irina, born the following year and their eldest son Marco two year after her. With Marco's birth Cedric, officially passed the title of Duke Yanovich to Nicholas.
Trained as a Divination Wizard of 15th level.
