Aurelius Family

The Aurelius family has a storied history dating back to the 17th century. They originally hailed from a prosperous merchant background, specializing in the spice trade. The family's fortunes began to rise significantly in the late 1600s, as they established themselves as key players in the lucrative spice routes between Autumn and distant lands.   In 1720, the head of the Aurelius family at the time, Captain Horatio Aurelius, was ennobled for his exceptional contributions to the spice trade and his role in securing vital spice routes for Autumn. This marked the family's ascent to nobility, and they took on the title of "Lords of Spices."   Over the centuries, the Aurelius family continued to flourish, accumulating wealth, prestige, and political influence. They became known for their lavish parties, grand gatherings, and refined tastes. However, despite their social prominence, they remained somewhat enigmatic, often keeping their personal affairs private.   The family's line continued for generations, with each heir contributing to their legacy in various ways. However, as time went on, the family faced its share of challenges, including financial setbacks and personal tragedies.   In 1922, the last of the Aurelius family's direct line, Lord Edmund Aurelius, passed away without any heirs. His unexpected death marked the end of an era for the family, leaving their stately mansion, Aurelian House, without a master.   Now, in 1927, the party finds themselves adopted into the prestigious Aurelius family, with the responsibility of maintaining the family's historic legacy and the grandeur of Aurelian House. Their new role will come with its own set of challenges and mysteries to uncover, as they navigate the secrets and intrigues of their newfound noble heritage.
