He didn't discover he was gifted in a subject of magic until he attended Eaglesclaw. There he found his talent in Arithmamancy and Charms. Now he teaches at Eaglesclaw and runs the wand shop Majoribank's Magical Means. Recently he married Ms. Redfern.
