Gévaudan
Gévaudan is a small village outpost along the river Vitellius (also known as the riverr Tanagra), on the edge of the Munashiitatsujin, the largest desert of Eana. The town grew significantly via trade through the river from the Empire's first two capitals, but since the Empire has become collapsing, it is visited less and less every year.
Demographics
The current population of the village is around 70, but at the town's height it may have been more than 1,000 at any given time (and double that during tourist seasons).
Government
Gévaudan's mayor used to derive power from the Empire's government, being appointed, and was usually passed over for the needs of the greater Empire rather than the town itself. Since the Empire's collapse, the mayor has become a yearly democratically elected position, as part of a seven person tribunal for larger decisions (such as sentencing of criminals).
Districts
Since the size of the town has dwindled, many tradespeople live where they work, with the business "district" also being the residential "district".
