Orphaned at a very young age he spent his early days roaming the streets where he quickly learned to steal in order to survive. One day a spy from the Hand of God brotherhood recognized his talents and recruited him as his apprentice.

While mounting a sneak attack Lucky failed to finish his targets and as result he lost his left hand and was captured. Even though he was later rescued by his friends, this defeat would mark him forever making him aware of his own shortcomings.

I got it back!
After a rough, near death, battle in the sewers I am glad to say that I've got my hand back. That Vraxis guy really made us work for it but it's so worth it. I know that Gehrman lost his leg to a giant crocodile but he doesn't seem very sad about it. In the end it all seems to have worked out for the best: I got my hand back in place before Ruby got back and in a few days it should be back to it's old self. I hope that German doesn't hold a grudge because the reason we couldn't reattach his leg was because of the poison I used against the crocodile.
