Behemoth

Look at him. You think we have the right to just kill a god?
— Monarch agent Mariko, Godzilla: King of the Monsters - The Official Movie Novelization
The Metatron told Job showed Job Behemoth and described as a giant herbivore with powerful musculature, invulnerable bones, and impenetrable skin who lurked in a land of rivers, lotuses, willows, and swamps. This vision also included the Leviathan, a Deviant that has roamed the Atlantic since the Thurian age. The Behemoth is another hyperfauna that evolved in the Permian Period and is a subservient Kaiju to alpha predators like Godzilla, King Kong, and King Ghidora. At first glance, the Behemoth appears to be an enormous Mammoth with long whispy fur, a trunk, and two enormous tusks that can cause seismic events when they crash into targets. Upon closer inspection and seeing Behemoth in combat, its more Sloth-like qualities become more apparent with three-toed forepaws and the ability to stretch out or even use trees to launch its huge body if they are strong enough. The Behemoth in combat makes the very Earth rumble and his roar makes a witness' eardrums possibly burst it keeps the wild animals from becoming even more wild.

History

Like other hyperfauna, Behemoth began hibernation in the early Permian Period when the atmosphere's chemical makeup began to change, and it began to block out more cosmic and solar radiation. Without these conditions, most kaiju could not maintain their physiology and had to go into a near stasis to preserve themselves. Unlike other kaiju except for King Kong and his fellow enormous apes, Behemoth appears to have been able to reawaken before most of the other hyperfauna and found itself in the Amazon rainforest. There it roamed the Amazon River and the surrounding wetlands, ruling as the great forest's protector and defending it from Deviants, other giant monsters, and ecological threats that would destroy the environment. Every Summer solstice until the agreement between deities and Celestials was settled so that neither would interfere with human development when Behemoth's power was at its Apex, he roars so that the wild animals would not grow wilder and butcher humanity and their domesticated animals. There are cave paintings of Behemoth created more than 12 millennia ago.

Antiquity

Nearly 9 millennia ago, as Job suffered for reasons that he and no mortal man could understand, the Metatron, also known as the mouth of God, appeared before him and gave him a vision of Behemoth. The lesson this angel who carries the word of God brought to Job was that Job should continue his work for God's plan even as his suffering worsens as Behemoth does. Unending, steadfast, and unbreaking because if Jehova could create a creature as powerful as Behemoth then resisting His will is an exercise in futility. Over the next 7 millennia, rabbis would learn more about Behemoth in that it lived east of the Garden of Eden to guard the young and naive Adam and Eve while it managed the wild beasts with its roar. Come the end of days, Behemoth's flesh would be there to feed the elect who will survive.

The Renaissance

Sometime in the 16th century CE, representatives from the Tournament of Immortals in Omnipotence City came to the Amazon and somehow communicated with Behemoth. They offered it the chance to compete and it agreed to become the tournament champion for over 5 centuries. Behemoth was a controversial competitor and champion because its origin is almost entirely natural. Although, it was granted entry for its deep connection to the Hebrew God, Jehova, and His prophesied end of days. Thor had first encountered Behemoth during his short time in the Amazon where he defended natives on the side of Eternals. He became a more familiar acquaintance with the kaiju on their trips through the universe and time in Omnipotence City. Behemoth was also very popular in the banquet halls of Omnipotence Hall, and its earth-shattering bugles were loved by many of the gods that gathered there for the meals.

Cold War Era

During the Reagan administration, a scientific expedition into the Amazon discovered Behemoth sleeping beneath the canopies of the Amazon. Hesitant to contact S.H.I.E.L.D. due to their habit of cutting out the scientists that made a discovery and taking complete control of an issue, the explorers contacted Monarch instead. Monarch came to observe and strategize a containment pen for Behemoth. The scientists that found Behemoth were brought on board, American marines were deployed to set up perimeter fences and then Behemoth left. The perimeter was still intact. The Monarch crew didn't know that Behemoth had left to defend its title in the Tournament of Immortals and had traveled the spaceways. The researchers continued to collect biological samples left behind by Behemoth and worked with marines to find Behemoth again. Just as they were about to be called back to the States, Behemoth returned from Omnipotence City and Monarch picked it up again. They set up a main observation station at Behemoth's favorite resting place, then dispersed observation cameras to observe his movements.
