The Bradley Family's Tale

A simple quest that has set many things in motion, and brought (some of) our party together.

Plot points/Scenes

  • Bradley calls for mercenaries to deliver a barrel as quickly and as quietly as they can from Waterfowl.
  • Bradley asks mercenaries to accompany a naval parlay with a ship from his home country of Mittivul.
  • Bradley tells the tale of his family's organization and of its abrupt, mysterious, and suspicious end, that is connected somehow to the cult that has plagued Bradleburg since its founding.
  • Bradley encounters a powerful foe while exploring the long abandoned Milton Bradley facility and is caught in a dangerous battle.

Components

Goals

Bradley wishes to restore his family's status, not only for himself, but for his father who has been disgraced and ruined by the events surrounding the collapse of the Milton Bradley Institute. He wishes to do this by unraveling the mystery surrounding its fall and rebuilding it, once again becoming the major player in the Bradlewen clan.
The party has shown the following possible goals:
  • Sekt Blank- Sekt wishes to establish herself with Bradley's aristocratic peers, earn a nice sum of gold fpr her work, and investigate a lead sent to her by Kalamhet about finding her brother in the area.
  • John Smith- John wishes simply to follow his newfound adventuring path wherever it leads him, and earn himself a nice sum of gold. Perhaps on a deeper sense, the sense of mystery and discovery that surrounds this job is more fulfilling for him then he realizes.
  • Salsa- Salsa is fairly far removed from Bradley, having only seen him briefly once, and has heard nothing but Back's hatred of him. He understands Bradley has access to powerful artifacts and is directly connected to the experiments that created him, although as of yet, he is still unsure how.
  • Back- Back has been distrustful of Bradley from the start, and wishes to kill him and take over the town of Bradleburg as a hero. He believes Bradley is responsible for his 'clones', is omitting unspeakable acts to Silke, and is overall a pretty bad dude. He is always waiting for a good opportunity to make him pay.
  • Baby Killer- Baby has never seen Bradley, and has only heard Back's stories of him. Baby understands the unhinged nature of Back, however, and has left behind his companions at CPS to aid Bradley's group find him, although his own goals are unknown even to him.

Hooks

Bradley has shown himself to be an influential lord with gold to spare, and some members have seen his ability combat as well. The party has much to gain financially in his employ, and the mysterious past and powerful artifacts and technology found in his search for his family's institution are tempting to many.
