She-Hulk is defeated and recruited by Mephisto's army.

Following the emergence of the Red Serpent known as the Devil-Red Hulk, the state-sponsored superhero team known as the Mavericks were the first to engage in conflict with the Six-Year Army. She-Hulk was visiting the team in Nevada when the attack happened and lent her efforts in defending the state; however, in her defeat she was given little choice but to join Mephisto's ranks. Reincarnated as the Devil She-Hulk, she was sent to Manhattan to combat the Honorary Avengers.
