World Summary

The year is 2034. World War III is on the verge of ending. United States troops have been deployed overseas and have infiltrated the Russian borders with the intent to take down the dictator who has been terrorizing his country and the world for the past six years. For some time now, the US government has been using software via the LiFE network to improve their soldier's capabilities. Unfortunately, a group of soldiers on the outskirts of Moscow was inoculated with a program meant to improve visual tracking. This permanently altered the physiology, causing the soldiers to suffer saccadic dysfunction. The world would be forever changed.
In 2035, the group Anonymous released a virus containing this program known as the Nightmare Virus. It was for the benefit of the human race to be able to see this previously unknown predator that lurked in their midst, Species X-10. Mass Hysteria ensued as the realization dawned that humanity may not be the apex predator on the planet.
Fast forward to 2043, after millions of lives were lost in the chaos that ensued after Species X-10 became known, the world was trying to fight back. The use of sound waves as a deterrent resulted in personal protection devices known as Moth Balls. Buildings were rigged with alarms and security to keep out the monsters. LiFE devices became mandatory for everyone. It had become an age of fear beyond anything humanity had experienced before.
