Description
The Aerithilisian Guard are the guards of
Aerithelis Edhil, a Client of
Delos'Nordan. They gained renown during
The Grand Sea War, when they defended their homeland from
Barisea. For this task, they earned high honors and became the functional guardians of the
Belthore Sound, where the Delos'Nordanian navy is now housed.
Despite their high status, the Aerithilisian Guard feel more loyalty to their Client than their nation. This would not normally be of concern, except for the fact that Aerithilis Edhil has long voiced support for the evolution of the state, and supported the secession of
Revansgar from the empire. For this reason, the Aerithilisian Guard are sometimes referred to as the "peacekeepers of the world;" in the event of a war with Delos'Nordan, they would have the sole authority to turn the tide either way, and this precarious position has factored into Delos'Nordan's refusal to engage in outright war for decades.
