Baudilay (/Baa-di-lay)
Baudilay is a nation rumored to exist in the West Marches, beyond the borders of Althraxia at its height. It is thought to have been destroyed by the Thalgor, and refugees have not fled its lands since the end of the West March Wars. Knowledge of Baudilay is scarce, though its believed they did not have a system of writing (as the Althraxians did not) and thus that all knowledge of them is destroyed, or confined to the West Marches.
Still, some believe that the nation holds out, merely cut off from communicating with anybody to the east. There are minor organizations and adventuring groups with the goal of "freeing Baudilay" which occasionally pop up in the Border Kingdoms, and there are claims from time to time of somebody returning from the embattled kingdom. Nothing has been definitely proven, though ruins have been excavated and mapped out in the region by daring explorers. Of course, the existence of ruins does not preclude a land beyond. Early Gultic accounts from The Western Exodus sometimes speak of people fleeing westwards, leading to speculation of lands even further beyond Baudilay which have been lost to time.
