Orb of Elthaine

The Orb of Elthaine is a magical artifact which resonates with arcane energies and serves as a conduit for the Warp. It can be paired with aeon stones to fuel innate magical abilities, but its energies are unstable; overcharging the Orb is remarkably simple and destructive, making it dangerous to wield.

History

Elthaine was a powerful High Elven Wizard who disappeared some time during The Reckoning . His Orb remained, though its ownership and location are unknown until it definitively resurfaced within the Rook in The Vale. Here, it was kept under guard until it disappeared again in the early Age of Ruin.

While residing in the Rook, it is said that many forces made attempts to recover the Orb, ranging from mortal wizards and cultists to servants of Bach'thal and even the Hilean Court itself.
