Sea of Stars
The Sea of Stars is a warm and rainy stretch of water off the southern coast of Pharos. Even though it regularly dumps meters of water upon the coast at its border (especially in Everaldimor), dangerous storms in the Sea of Stars are rare, and it's often said that Maer guides her children through its waves.
At night, the Sea of Stars is known to glow. This glow is typically a bright blue or near-white, and this phenomenon is the sea's namesake. The glow can be disorienting to inexperienced sailors, and it has historically been the cause of many ships running aground upon coral reefs, but such tragedies are rare with modern navigational tools and shipbuilding. Indeed, these reefs are common all around the Sea of Stars, and it's believed that the glow upon the waves is caused by some little critters which travel from reef to reef in an endless commute. These critters have many name, but the Bariseans call them starlets.
