The Oread Song
The Oread Song was alleged to be a poem of the Dulmens, and it survives as a whistled tune in Devania to this day. Its words were originally written in Old Elven and they are long forgotten, but it is said that they could make any Devanian's heart swoon for home when they were spake.
The tune itself is derived from the Devanian dolmens, tall standing stones and rock circles which dot the landscape. These stones were erected by the Dulmens for forgotten purposes, though rumor says they're still used by covens of witches and druids to this day. On particularly windy days, the dolmens give way to a clear whistling sound due to narrow carved perforations in their surface which are barely visible. According to legend, all (or, at least, many) of the dolmens follow a specific pattern of whistling, revealing a fantastic song that is impossible to hear because of the large distances between all of them. The Oread Song claims to be this exact tune, though no vocal cords can emulate the wonder of the stones which sing.
