Vesamir

Vesamir, the Celestial Dragon and Living Love, is the nominal ruler of Adaetha. He has not been seen by anybody aside from his Muse-Speakers for generations, but the Muses carry out his will across the land and he has made his powers clear by protecting his people from the harm of external forces.   To the broader world, Vesamir is a complicated figure. Many fear him, viewing him as any other dragon, but those who've looked past that fact have found him to be quite an anomaly. The dragons and the deities, it is said, are directly at odds: but Vesamir respects the Ones Above and freely allows their worship. In turn, it seems that the people of Adaetha are just as blessed as any other people, a fact which cannot account for the deities' stated hatred of dragonkind.   Vesamir has several astronomical phenomena named after him, most prominently the Vesamir Shield. This "shield" is the outer sphere of objects around Eashavar's solar system, and its said to protect it from the void that lies beyond. Such an association has led to some popular rehabilitation of the dragon during the Age of Enlightenment, though he is at best spoken of in a wary, patriarchal sense.
