Marigold Crisis

The Marigold Crisis saw the navy of Delos'Nordan mistakenly sink the Marigold, one of the prides of the Fyran merchant navy.

While initially the High Elves labeled it an accident, the intentionality was quickly rewritten to avoid embarrassment in the midst of The Grand Sea War, in that a strike against the Fyrans was lumped together as a strike against the humans to fuel nationalism.   The Crisis caused great confusion among Fyran diplomats, who at first attempted to be understanding in their demands for compensation. The narrative changes and hostility geared towards them expanded Fyran outrage, and the Fyran embassy was expelled from Delos'Nordan after an attack on the Delos'Nordanian embassy in Dithra.   Following the Crisis, Fyra joined the Violet Coalition, though it continues to pursue de-escalation and demilitarization on Pharos.
