Legend Lore: Sylvar Waesrona, the Storm Tamer

Sylvar Waesrona was a legendary hero amongst the Oshrans, an honorable woman dedicated to keeping the chaotic red lightning storms that plagued Idriell away from the main cities and roads. Said to be older than the entire Oshran Empire, Sylvar and her sister Taranth worked in tandem to ensure an Era of Iron Clad Peace.

Sylvar Waesrona, and her sister Taranth Waesrona both emigrated to the Oshran Empire from a distant, forgotten mountainous country, eager for adventure and mystery. Both found success as adventurers in Idriell, finding secret ruins, old abandoned camps and mysterious obelisks. But travel between the cities was dangerous, as the Death Storms that had begun to crop up had ravaged the roads. Sylvar’s party were reluctant to travel out of Gilnaith {The Star Spear}, all save for Pikyr, the magic user. Sylvar complained to Pikyr, on their shared watch one night, and Pikyr offered them some small comfort.

Sylvar met with the Powder Smith of Gilnaith, and commissioned a sword - one powerful enough to Tame Storms. And so Sylvar ventured onto the roads of Idriell, protecting her party and caravans alike, travelling from town to town. Though the Oshrans weren’t happy - they welcomed the Cleansing Storms; believing the undead created from its lightning to be the true evil of elves revealed.
Sylvar was cut down by Selval Brightwood, the Squire of Tharizdun, and the Umbral Court claimed her soul for the crime failing to tame the Death Storms into submission, leaving the Oshran Empire open to destruction at Tharizdun’s hands.
