Samoka Blaise

Physical Description

Samoka is presented mostly with braided hair that reaches all the way to her back, in a ponytail with her flower scrunchie. She has hazel eyes, dark brown hair that almost reads as black until it reaches the flames of her hair, and brown skin. She has a large tattoo on her back that can be seen at times. Her outfit consists of mostly gold chainmail armor and a red dress-like shirt that reaches to around her shins, along with some golden armor that seems to be attached by belts. A sword rests comfortably behind her along with a coiled pair of whips against each hip. She almost looks a bit like a knight, but not quite.
At times, people can see her hair flicker like a lighter, occasionally having flames surround it while not being dangerous. Even with all of this on, her mostly glowing yellow/orange arms still manage to peek through here and there.

Personality

Sam is quite cheery, having a can-do attitude almost 90% of the time. She is often confident and outspoken, and she seems to almost never be seen without a light smile on her face. She is extremely loyal to the people she cares about, honest to people about her feelings, and most of all, free-spirited like a bird. She often believes in the idea of being able to do whatever you please without being limited to constraints, like labels and possibilities of failure. She does things to feel alive.
But on the opposite side of the spectrum, she is a bit hot-headed when people get on her bad side. Her anger is fierce like flames. Her emotions aren't as in control as she wants them to be, especially with the trauma of losing her family to an event she couldn't control. Her cheeriness can only last so long. Sometimes she gets sick of it. She loves gratifying herself even if it's not recommended. She also blames herself a lot for things in the past-- even if it wasn't her fault.

Backstory

Before the calamity, Samoka grew up in the Sword Coast in the Fallen City with her mother, who was a Fire Genasi, being involved in the knight guild as she grew up. Her father was around the first 5 years of her life before becoming virtually absent. Samoka was already proven to be quite the rowdy child, often getting into scuffles with the other kids at her school and was often suspended from school.
As a direct result of her mother’s status in the Fallen City’s society, she grew up in comfortable aristocracy, in a world where she did not have to worry at all. Sam's behavior problems gave her mother a great idea: to find an outlet for her. She taught her everything she knew about the knight guild, preparing her to join the guild as well once she was of the proper age in order to subdue her rowdiness and give her a purpose to serve and protect others as a battlemaster. However, Samoka found herself to dislike the limitations that were put on her. Eventually, she admitted to her mother that this did not feel right. Despite all the training and dedication Samoka was given, she did not become a knight.
That’s when the false moon hit, once Sam was the age of 18. Her mother never returned and was presumed dead. She lived alone for a while and rebuilt most of what she lost, changed her name, until she couldn’t take the loneliness anymore and went on a journey to start anew in a different place, stumbling upon Vareholm.
