Dragon's Fist Monastary
This large Monastery sits on the side of The Mount in northern Tamia. It was built by dwarven laborers and is formed out of solid stone and white marble. It is home to the Order of the Dragon's Fist and is self sufficient in almost every aspect of living. The building is defended by a compliment of monks, warriors of hand and fist, and has trained many people around the continent.
Purpose / Function
The Monastery trains those people who wish to defend themselves, and others, from harm. The monks here follow the will of Dava and offer healing and protection to any who ask of it.
Architecture
Dwarven architecture makes the building look and even feel solid. White marble columns and over hangings decorate this modest building, and the wind is allowed to blow though the courtyard without notice.
History
Built after The First saved a dwarven mining company from a dragon attack, the building was a means to gather many people around an idea and train them. The dwarves that first built the structure offered to stay and learn, the first monks of the new order, and soon many others made the journey to the place where weapons weren't allowed. Soon, more and more came, only to be turned away when they learned that it wasn't just another way to kill people. By 250 SR the population of the Monastery was almost 2000 monks, and to this day only ever fluctuates around that number. No airships are permitted to land here and no weapons of any kind are allowed inside its doors.
Mystery Guest
In the years of the Great War there came a stranger to the doors of the Monastery. he was cloaked and kept himself hidden most of the time, yet searched for a way to unburden his soul. His name was never given, nor asked for, yet he was eager to learn. The stranger was a quick study and soon was matching the head monks in hand to hand combat. They had never seen his like before. It was then that they found out why he was always covered up. It was revealed that he was a Clockwork Assassin, and when told to leave he killed fifty monks escaping the building. No one ever heard form his again, yet his story will remain in the monks records so that it will never happen again. To this day, aplicants must stand before the head monks unburdened and naked, showing their true selves if they wish to study here.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
