Order of the Dragon's Fist
Started in the year 117, the order sprang up when a retired warrior hung up his sword and declared that he would ever only use his hands to defend himself. He was attacked almost immediately by people after his legacy, and he defeated them soundly without any weapon in hand. He left to go into the mountain range north of Anor and wasn't seen for years, that is until a dwarven mining group was saved from a dragon attack by the man and vowed to repay him. They helped build a monastery and half of them stayed to learn the way of the Dragon's Fist, as he called it.
Mythology & Lore
In the order's books, Dava, God of Protection appears as a great dragon that spreads his wings over the world, shielding it from harm. The wings are impervious to harm and block out the dangerous tendrils of death from his brother Krist.
Divine Origins
The founder, whose name has been lost to the ages and now is only known as The First, believed that he spoke to the God Dava on the battlefield during the Great War, and after channeling his power, learned that weapons weren't the way to protect anyone. He was shown the enlightenment and power in defense, and how to channel that into his arms and feet.
Tenets of Faith
Defend those that cannot defend themselves. Do not provoke attack, yet turn not away from it if lives are at stake. Blind peace is only cowardice.
Priesthood
The head monk, chosen in a ritual at the plateau during the coldest point in Frostfall, leads the monastery and guides them in the way of Dava
Granted Divine Powers
Monks of the order of the Dragon's Fist are all but immune to the frigid cold of the north. They train in the snows and learn to channel an inner fire to keep them warm akin to a dragons breath inside of them.

Friendly Dragons
It is rumored among the monks of the order that The First didn't actually defeat the dragon that was menacing the dwarves that day, but talked the dragon out of killing and thus showed the dragon the will of Dava. Since that day any dragons that any one of the order has run into (and its very rare to do so) have been friendly and helpful to the monks.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
