Healer Adept

The Healer Adepts are a strange mix between Magus and Priest that were the catalyst for the Psion that were created all those years ago. Healer Adepts aren't a profession per se, more like a calling. Rumors have it that the healers all have elven blood in their lineage somewhere, but so far back that they can only channel healing spells through ether. The Adepts go around testing commoners and bringing those that pass the test to their monastery for training where they learn to heal wounds much faster than any healer in most churches.

Ralia looked down and was honestly shocked at the sight. She never felt a thing. "Well it hurts now that you've said something." She tried to flex it and almost screamed. She had kept it still cradling the boy. She saw the Queen reach over and close her eyes, moving her mouth quietly and lightly touching her arm. Ralia's eyes flew open as warmth flooded into her arm, tiny motes of light spiraling away into the morning light. Her arm was fully healed. "How.....you."

"You're a healer adept." Aleksandr said, a little impressed. He never knew that the royal family had adepts in their blood. Then he remembered that she was once a commoner. That would explain it. He thought as he pulled the gear down and revved it over the Gear-Rail tracks before stepping on the gear pedal and punching it. They leveled out and he shifted again. They were almost there.

"No not an adept, I've only had minimal training, but the talent is there, or so I'm told."

Just training. Once training is done they are cleared as an Adept.

Perception

History

The Adepts have been around since 70 SR when the first humans starting exhibiting signs of healing without a God or asking the elements. Some speculate that this was the reason for the First war, but is disputed largely in many circles. It is known that after that, those with the gift would be able to heal much quicker than even the highest Priest or highly trained Magus; yet they still needed training.

How They Do It

Elves have tried to see if they ask the elements, Priests have scrutinized their speech to see if they are asking the Gods, all to no avail. Just what the Adepts whisper before they heal is a mystery, and one they take great pains to keep.
