Krist, God of Death & Corruption

When this world was but a glowing ember in the dark void, five powerful beings were brought into existence by an entity of unimaginable depth and power. These five beings were given this world to oversee and protect, helping keep the delicate balance between all the things that they were to create upon it. When the ember cooled, the world was formed and they descended to its surface. There, they made whole their dreams and wishes, then walked sideways into the moon and watched from afar as their dreams were given life and form. Krist is one of these beings

Appearance

As a being of immense power, Krist technically can look however he wants. In theory it isn't really a he, and over the eons this God has appeared as both male and female in different lands. When he does appear to any of his followers, or just an important person he needs to control, he assumes the form of an ebony skinned elf wearing gleaming mail and carrying a scythe. He has long white hair and his eyes blaze a vivid white as if there was nothing behind them. His other form that has been recorded is of a dark skinned female, with long raven black hair, black eyes, and a smile that never touches her eyes.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Krist's holy symbol is simple, a black (or sometimes dark purple) hand with its fingers open. It si said that this hand is what grasps the dead souls and drags them down to his realm of death.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Krist desires the end of all life. Not in one fell swoop like the stories might hold to, yet all things must die in their time. Long lived forests, archmages, and even some elves have the appearance of escaping death. These are the things that the God strives to destroy.

Who would follow such a God? You would be surprised. Any being who desires an end to long lived beings, hates a certain race of people, or just hates life can worship this dark God. Some of the more monstrous races like Orcs and the Goblinkind worship Krist, as do dark priests longing for power and some twisted mages.
