The Deep
The Deep is a strategic area between Garon'd and Nagar. It lies just off the earthen ramp that leads off The Drop down onto the lower lands in Tamia and is the first area land forces would hit in an attack from above. So named for the deep high grass that grows here, The Deep covers about 50 square miles and can obscure whole regiments of armed forces if need be. To look at it from above it doesn't seem all that different than any other grassland, until it is seen with anything in it (even a simple tree) Then the grass can be seen to climb up the trunk as if the tree had sunk at least four feet.
Geography
The grassland stretched out as far as the eye can see and it is rumored that at least four airship wrecks lie within the high grass obscrued from view. The grass grows steadily, and even if cut grows quickly back to its full height in a year. The gear tracks run through this grassland, and crews work diligently to keep the grass from growing over the tracks.
Fauna & Flora
There are a lot of animals that call this grassland home, too bad everyone of them are small and obscured by the grass they call home. Snakes, rabbits, and other game flourish here with very little natural predators to thin thier numbers.
