Moorbrook

Defences

The village is surrounded by palisades, with small viewing platforms for guards at the corners. The watch is led by Nox, one of the most experienced fighters in the village. They are a lean and tall Half-Elf in their 50s. Nox's youngest charge is a skinny human named Simon, who can barely be considered an adult. There also is Harla, a greataxe-wielding Dwarf from the Ancient Summit.

Districts

Buildings and Layout: In the center of the village stands a well. Right next to the well is the Dancing Damsels Inn, run by the Brightwood sisters. Compared to the rest of the village, which is still under construction, the finished Inn looks almost out of place.   A small smithy and tannery are located towards the northern outskirts of the village. Andur, a tall, bulky Half-Orc, is the village's resident blacksmith. Idari, a Halfling woman originally from Riverkeep, runs Moorbrook's tannery and is an experienced tailor as well. The stern Halfling has little patience for dilly-dallying and prefers a hands-on approach for solving problems. Ilenia, Nox's older sister, takes care of the sick and elderly as best as she can with the limited space and supplies available. The herbalist has set up her practice in a red-brick building in the west of Moorbrook.   Other than that, there are a handful of small houses and ramshackle huts, with more lodgings being constructed. Many people are still sleeping in tents or the Inn.

Guilds and Factions

Moorbrook serves as the main outpost for the Resistance in the western part of Cadalyn.

History

After suffering great losses in the skirmishes against the armies of the Necromancer Tyrant, some remanents of the people fighting in Cadalyn retreated to regroup. They built a small village at the foot of the Ancient Summit.   The village is continuously being expanded and improved as more and more people join the Resistance.

Geography

It is situated above the Lake of Trials and northwest of The Dying Forest.
