The War of the Mark comes to an end when Lord Tarkanan, the Lady of the Plague, and his other lieutenants - in a last great act of defiance - cause the destruction of the city of Sharn and the believed extinction of the aberrant mark. The Council of Twelve (The Twelve) is established between the Dragonmarked houses to establish communication between the houses.
