S7: Investigating the Ruins of History Report
General Summary
12th Zarantyr
Exploring the mysterious ruins that the party had stumbled upon, in search of Gunther's family sword, the party found signs of devastation and war from ages past. Hearing sounds to the west, they attempted to move quietly through the hallway toward the sound, but were spotted by a pack of Dolgrim (squat, grey skinned, deformed Goblins with many mouth, eyes, and arms). Quickly dispatching the first pack, Esi was nearly knocked unconscious by reinforcemented, but managed to catch and redirect the deadly blow. However, another creature, tall and thin with tentacles protruding from several places, rushed in and downed her. The rest of the party obliterated all but two of these creatures and Dhok brought Esi back to consciousness. Chasing after the fleeing survivors, they found a barricaded room with more Dolgrim and another Dolgaunt, though this one seemed terrified and distraught. Blasting spells and magic through the barricade, the party dispatched the rest and upon searching the room, found a Circlet of Blasting. Investigating the last room in the ruins, they found a silvered scroll case, before two large floating brains with beaks and barbed tentacles descended upon them and attempted to grapple them and flee. Kai was dragged away before Esi used the newly found Circlet to finish it off after hefty attacks from Zora'kas and Dhok, and Dhok finished the last fleeing creature. After this, Dhok found a large coin gleaming deep purple, with figures of Goblinoids and writing embossed on the coin. The party returned to Gunther and his hut, where he provided them a Luckstone and a hot venison stew as a reward, and allowed them to keep the Rope of Climbing he had provided them.Rewards Granted
