Phoenix Orphan Home

The Phoenix Orphan Home was founded in 765 YK by Tina Glutrid. Tina had tried several times to have kids, but miscarried each time and, after he husband passed away, decided to found an orphanage instead. The Home was rather successful for several generations, employing over a dozen workers and caring for many more dozens of children. But, like so many other orphanages, it fell into disrepair during the Last War when most government was directed towards war efforts. Lower Menthis Plateau grew more and more destitute, and the Phoenix Orphan Home was largely forgotten.
Katrina Glutrid, the young half-elf, runs the Home alongside her mother, Catherine. They care for the kids as best they can, but are forced to let kids go unadopted at 18, as there simply isn't enough funds or resources to support them all.

Party's Experience

The Crypt Crew first discovered the Phoenix Orphan Home in Session 12, after Brucos instructed the group to attend to the organization's needs. Once there, they spoke with Katrina, who was star-struck when she realized they were the Crypt Crew. She was even more blown away when they said they were there to help, as Ashpin generously gave her a month's worth of funds and helped Verin rejuvenate the ramshackle building. In addition, she eagerly gave them the tour of the rather depressing face, when they met the grumpy Catherine.
A few days later, the Crew helped Katrina organize a meet-and-greet on behalf of the orphanage to hopefully raise awareness for the forgotten Home. Dozens of people attended, both friendly faces and new faces - including representatives of the Sharn Inquisitive.
