One of the most prominent merchants in Thaliost, Drego was been close to those in power. When Thrane took the city during the war, he carefully trod the path of neutrality in public, while secretly supporting the resistance movement under Avaliah Venatar.
Even more secret than his support of the resistance was his role as the leader of the local smuggling operation, though those connections served him well when trying to keep the Thranish authorities off his back.
Drego was one of the lucky residents of Thaliost who managed to escape through Melody's portals. Now that Corvo Montagna is becoming more established, Drego has taken a position on the city council as the head of the Merchant's Guild. His slightly suspicious ability to acquire the exact rare goods that are needed for the town to grow has been generously ignored by Sheriff Kara.
