Daughters of Sora Kell

Summary

Three hags who rule the nation of Droaam
The Daughters of Sora Kell are a coven of three hags who have joined together for mutual benefit. Sora Katra is a green hag who acts as the voice, leader and strategist. Sora Maenya is an annis hag and serves as the muscle for the group, often leading groups of giant and ogre followers. Sora Teraza is an old dusk hag and perhaps the greatest seer and diviner in Eberron. Her visions help guide the group through good and bad, though her tenuous grasp on reality and mysterious motives render this not entirely foolproof, though it is a formidable asset. The hags are the main driving force behind the rising nation of Droaam. Aside from their own innate abilities and magical powers, they also have a large group of powerful trolls and ogres at their command, fanatics who would gladly die for their queens.   In 986 YK, the hags appeared in what is now Droaam, and have since built a great city that they named after the mountain they founded it in, the Great Crag. They actively work with House Tharashk to send their mercenaries and laborers out into the world, bringing money and intel back into the nation.   The Daughters maintain power with Katra’s cunning and charisma, Maenya’s intimidation, and Teraza’s prescience. If an individual or new cabal can fill that void with equal talent, they could keep it going, but it’s absolutely a cult of personality and personal power. As it stands, the government of Droaam would never last without the Daughters or someone of equal power behind it.   Politics To the outside world the daughters are the villains. Terrifying tales of the sisters are told throughout Khorvaire. Whether they are true of myth is not certain. What is certain is that Droaam is a rising power in the West. The potential of a nation of monstrous races working together is very disconcerting to the human kingdoms. Breland in particular feels the threat of Droaam. For now they mostly stay out of each other's way.   The daughters are very angry the resentful the Droaam was not recognized in the Treaty of Thronehold. Rectifying this slight is one of their stated goals. However Breland views the land that comprises Droaam as belonging to them. For that reason Breland has been particularity against recognizing Droaam as an independent nation in any treaty.
