Aurala ir'Wynarn
Aurala ir'Wynarn is a descendant of the original Aundair kingdom royal line prior to the creation of the Empire. She was appointed by the Empire during the late stages of @The War to be regional admistrator of the Aundair region and the legal executor of Fairhaven. She is an imposing woman with diplomatic skill unmatched among her peers. Diplomacy, subterfuge, and politics are skills at which she excels.
Biography
Aurala inherited a land ravaged by war. The sheer attrition of decades of fighting, plus the long time required to train adepts, magewrights, and raise dragonhawks meant that replacing losses was a nearly impossible struggle. The quality of Aundairian troops, formerly the greatest among the Empire's army, was ravaged over the long war.
When appointed, Aundair barely had enough troops to police the region, and a levy for what little remained for the Empire's war effort. The desperation was reflected in her initial actions upon appointment: She sent her most skilled and intelligent diplomats to the enemy, seeking a ceasefire between the Empire and @placeholder. Her actions would have achieved their intended results, single-handedly negotiating an end to the war, had the empire not unleashed @The Mourning.
Aurala is cautious and clever as she plays the games of intrigue in her own court. She has mastered the art of manipulating her opponents via submission by waiting for them to dismiss her as meek before springing a decisive trap. Her silver tongue and charismatic presence allow her to persuade even her most determined detractors with ease.
In governing Fairaven, she's turned to diplomacy and subterfuge in an attempt to oust the corruption and crime that spread due to the lack of martial forces from the war. Her stated mission is to restore law and order to Fairhaven. So far, she's met with limited success.
Relationships
Aurala is married to Sasik d'Vadalis who gave up his house position to become a member of the Aundairian nobility. As a result of this, Aurala is often accused of favoritism towards @House Vadalis. In actual fact Aurala goes out of her way to ensure that Vadalis receives no special treatment.
In addition to her spouse, she has three children, Wrogar, Jurian, and Corrine. The Aundairian noble family also consists of her four younger siblings, Adal, Aurad, Wrel, Wrey, and their families.
