A Bronzewood Golem bursts from the lift in the tower of Vidamancy in Aundair. Aeva Amastacia, Sai, A'cid Reflux, Chauncey Chaucer, and Rosa Thorne attempt to stop the Golem from breaking into the laboratory of Margalev Amastacia. Despite their best efforts, the golem breaks down the doors to the office and shatters a glass tube housing a humming purple light. A purple flash follows the sound of shattering glass - the last thing the five remember before waking up in a wooden room on an airship.
New World's End

Grillnox's Cave
Discovery, ExplorationThe group agrees to take on a bounty for Garanth Feraldi, Sai's old Captain for the Cyrean Army - though he doesn't give them much choice. They manage to dispatch the giant, a great relief to the nearby frontier towns like Mystwood and Last Chance, and in the giant's cave they find a prisoner. A Drow sits in the corner of a cage and introduces himself as Umizeiros, and he tells them of how he ended up in the cage, alongside another prisoner who was taken away a few days prior. Her name was Cornelia - Sai's wife. In a dark corner of the cave, Chauncey finds a small device, a stone covered in runes with two Khyber dragonshards jutting out of the top. He doesn't know what it is, but he keeps the item to himself. The group takes the Giant's head (no not that one) as a trophy and proof of their work.

An Audience with Her Majesty
Diplomatic actionAfter Sai parkoured his way through Metrol, the rest of the gang barely made the audience on time due to an elk with weak ankles. The queen sees the group with some disinterest until Umi speaks up about a potential solution to the Cyrean's Giant problem. Umi reveals himself to be a prince of the Umbral Drow and proposes an alliance between the Cyreans and the Umbral to suppress the Giant threat. Queen Dannel Ir'Wynarn agrees to hear further details from Umi. The Queen's right hand, one Atherik De Cannith, seems to be far more interested in the prisoner Umi spoke of than the alliance. When Umi explained that he had met a woman named Cornelia and she had been taken away, Atherik clearly looked upset. Atherik asked Umi if there was anything more than the drow remembered about his wife, Cornelia. The gang hands over Grilnox's member and collect their receipts from Atherik, to be paid at the Quartermaster's office.

Where's A'cid?
Criminal ActivityAfter the gang have received their payments in gold or Dragosnshards, the group went about their business and ended up in a few places together - except for A'cid. A'cid went for a walk around the city and didn't notice the group of Warforged following him through the back alleys of Metrol. A'cid wasn't prepared for the ambush and was quickly knocked out and brought hideout of a Warforged who goes only by Copper. Copper leads a group of the oldest Warforged, those who have been outstripped by new DeCannith technology. While she has him imprisoned in her lab, Copper explains that there is something wrong with the new Warforged the DeCannith are making, they aren't like her and her compatriots - fully sentient. This new kind of Warforged is made only for obedience. Copper explains that she needs A'cid's help in freeing them.

A Dreamy Professor
Discovery, ScientificChauncey meets a professor of Oneiromancy - dream magic - at the Wynarn Institute. The professor's name is Gulad. The professor appears to be an expert in many of the things. that Chauncey is currently experiencing after acquiring what Chauncey learns is a Gatestone. Chauncey seeks out information about why he may just now beginning to dream for the first time. Chauncey shows a rubbing of the Gatestone to Gulad who takes one look at the rubbing and is clearly taken aback at the device. Gulad demands to know where Chauncey found the Device and where it is now. Chauncey lies and states that he left the device in the cave where he found it and took only the rubbing. Gulad takes interest in Chauncey's being a member of the Cold Sun Federation, a people united by dreams, except for Chauncey.

Ott Save the Queen
Political eventAfter spending some of their well-earned rewards in the city of Metrol, the gang finally slows down a bit and prepares to spend the night here at the Golden Dragon. As they prepare to tuck in, Sai hears a heavy knock on the door from his new Orc friend, Grimm. Grim alerts him that at the city guard is looking for them, they're searching door to door for the adventurers. Drow have murdered Queen Dannel and the City Guard are after the gang, because they're traveling with the only Drow known to be in the city. At the same time, Rosa catches a glimpse of three people out the window running over the rooftops of Metrol. The gang follows in hot pursuit and fight these would-be assassins on the rooftops. After killing two and managing to take one hostage. As they knock out the hostage, the Drow visage melts away and Rosa recognizes a halfling, a House Tarkanan assassin assigned to just this kind of job. The gang hears a commotion a little further up the street only to find a Syd and a group of Warforged attacking a carriage, guarded by more city guards inside of the carriage they find Annabelle - Sai‘s daughter. The 6 year old is very confused and very scared. The gang reunites with A'cid and takes takes Annabelle to Copper‘s hideout. The gang settles in to spend the night. A'cid is supposed to take care of the carriage led by Garrett and does so in the most A'cid way possible by lighting the carriage on fire and then smacking and Garrett on the butt. The elk careens through the streets, trying to outrun the cart that it's attached to - lighting much of Metrol on fire and burning much of it to the ground.

Personas Non Grata
Discovery, ExplorationNow that the gang are wanted criminals, they carefully make their way out of Copper's Hideout to find that most of the city surrounding them is now an ashen ruin. They carefully make their way into the part of the city that was not lit ablaze and try to figure out what to do next - especially now that they have Annabelle, Sai‘s daughter, but also the step daughter of Atherik Decannith. Chauncey suggests going to meet Professor Gulad once again to get a better understanding of what to do with the gate stone so the gang heads to the Renard Institute Chauncey goes to inspect the professors office while the rest of the gang speaks with the Archmage Andrathath Trismaier. Trismaier is a practitioner of Entropomancy, chaos magic, and he discusses this rare talent with Aeva. In the meantime, Chauncey investigates Gulad's office and finds that the place has been ransacked. A struggle has taken place inside of the room and Chauncey calls the gang in to investigate. Searching the room, they find a secret staircase, but it appears no one knew about upon following the staircase they find a small entrance leading into the sewers, as well as one small room, holding a chest with a few magical items, as well as the hand of Professor Gulad.

A Discovery in the Poop Chute
Discovery, ExplorationThe gang, with Annabelle in tow, ventures a little further into the sewers to find out what happened to Gulad and finds a stone golem guarding the path. The Golem tests them three riddles to let them pass. The gang fail the riddles, and then proceeds to fight the stone golem as well as a few elementals. They managed to overcome the golem and pass his test, only to find a small gnome picking mushrooms in the sewers. The Gnome introduces himself as Fingus the Fungus Hunter, adjunct professor of Alchemy at the Wynarn Institute. At Fingus's direction, the gang gets access to what appears to be a secret laboratory or ritual room. What they find horrifies them, a bloody altar looms at the end of the room. A Journal (Journal Found in Sewers - Atherik's rests upon a small desk, describing note describing experiments done on humans, half elves, elves, and one Professor Gulad. In a small coffin on the side of the room they push open and they find the remains of Annabelle, Sai’s daughter.
