Ruins of the Tower of the Twelve
The Tower of the Twelve was once a hub of Dragonmarked interests and training. Levistus used this as a base of operations as he continued to corrupt and enthrall more Dragonmarked Houses.
It fell from the sky at the end of the Battle of the Dragonmarks when those that had been subverted were resisted by those that remained free of Levistus' influence. The tower was valiantly piloted away from its normal place above Wollvern Park to the less populated Nightwood. When Levistus' power was broken by the Troublemakers, aided by The Nine Trickster Gods, the magic that sustained the tower was broken and the tower fell.
The ruins itself are a place of very complex, deadly magic and very strong necromancy which is further focused by the unusual nature of the Nightwood. They are located deep in the woods where dark necromantic energies combine with the broken and lost magic of the Dragonmarked mages. This has caused the Nightwood to becomre a place of renewed undeath and horror.
The Nightwood was already a dark and foreboding place, but this unique mix of magic has made it more so. From time to time, confused undead people come stumbling out of the forest -- these are the The Stitched.
