Session 22: Recovery and Grave Robbing
General Summary
The party regroup after their close call to compare notes. They decide to explore creating some form of ballista for the top of the Edhellen, and attempt to shore up the defenses. Ripper makes amazing progress. Celosia continues to work with Tarryn Rowntree learning how to service and operate the Edhellen. Toox and Simon Twoorb use the telescope at the top of the tower to get a lay of the upcoming land. They spot a small town up the road a few hours, a merchant caravan on the other side of the town and heading toward them, and a ramshackle shed they believe belongs to the wizard that attacked them yesterday. The party immediately decides to head to the shed.
The road to the shed is small and easy to miss, but since they know what they're looking for, Celosia, Toox, and Ripper find their way without issue. Once there, they encounter an improbable wall of force surrounding the shed, along with a teleportation trap. Once finally inside, they are briefly teleported to a separate trapped room with steam vents attacking the players. All of the traps appear to hurt and/or discourage, but nothing seems designed to be deadly. The party determines the man was a dick.
After defeating and disarming the traps the party appears to have found the last home of Tiranil Amastacia , an ancient Elven sage. They also find a strange conspiracy-esque collection on 2 walls of the shed (Tiranil Amastacia's Consipracy Shed Wall ). The focus appears to be the Symbol the party has encountered before. The party also find a locked chest containing A Collection of the Life and Times of One Tiranil Amastacia, Volume 8, Part 57, a potion of flying, a Ring of the Ram, and 2 ounces of sovereign glue.
