Session 42: Cloudy with a Chance of Slime
General Summary
Since this particular void wasn't actively trying to kill them, the party decides to take the opportunity to take a rest. Karias Von Allmen, Toox, and Ice retreat into a mansion of Karias' design, while Ripper and Celosia Senho choose to not go into a magic house that is no where near finished rendering. The... night?... passes uneventfully.
After leaving the void the party passes through another wall of fog to find themselves in a wide wasteland. Two figures observe them from a distant ridge, but the compass says Benne Rowich is in a different direction. The party ducks a living cloudkill and a living lightning bolt (which go on to combine), but find tiny green slimes raining upon them. The slimes appear to be forming up into something massive. The party races from the growing blob, using a twisted forest to escape its bulk.
A little further on the party finds a dead member of Benne's entourage. He has several mysterious metal bolts sticking out of his back- similar to a crossbow bolt, but heavier. While they don't want to stop, they do want answers. Luckily, Kalias has a spell for that.
