Dragon

A mythical species said to be large intelligent flying lizards. No credible historical record or living person has encountered a real dragon. Historians and zoologists suspect that Wyverns, Pseudodragons, Drakes, and other real flying lizard species are the source of the dragon myth. Major examples in legend are the Progenitor Dragons Siberys, Khyber, and Eberron. Dragonshards are named after these progenitors. Dragonmarks are thought be so named because they are powerful and magical, two attributes ascribed to dragons. Maps of the known world still mark unexplored places where no ships have returned as "here there be dragons."
The language spoken by Kobolds is somethings referred to as "Draconic" because Kobolds as intelligent lizard people resemble dragons.
