Document I: Grant proposal to study the Mournland by Felryn ██████████ 

The area formerly known as Cyre has been transformed by the magical cataclysm referred to as "The Mourning " This area, commonly called The Mournland, has many strange properties reported by initial explorers including:

• Shifting geography
• ████████████████████
• Unusual wildlife
• Areas of wild magic

These phenomena are similar to those reports by explorers of Xen'drik, the continent south of Khorvaire. Legends tell us that a vast empire of giants lived in Xen'drik thousands of years ago until they too suffered a magical calamity. Professor Shamil ██████████ of Morgrave University is doing comprehensive research on these magical phenomena including taking arcane readings and ████████████████████. I propose a similar project to study the Mournland and then compare the data sets. It is possible that the Mourning and the doom of the giants are related. Studying both and comparing the information can help us prevent any future such tragedies.
